The haldi (turmeric Powder)
Halidi - the natural thromocyte creating spice! Yes it is. No wonder why My Maternal Grandma always put Haldi on her thumb when her hand got cut- while cooking. The blood would stop immidiately. It also is a great antiseptic. It is used in pritty much all forms of Indian food. The color -yellow is the mark of the same.
Not only is it good for health, it's also considered a beauty product. Brides and grooms are traditionally bathed in turnmeric paste a couple of days before their wedding to enhance the beauty.
Religiously, Haldi is also used in Prayers in Many parts on India.
